Klincat meets SAP EWM. Klinkhammer Group has presented the extension of its software portfolio in the field of WMS and materials flow control. In addition to Klinkware, Klinkhammer now offers together with its partner Swan also SAP Extended Warehouse Management to be able to supply turnkey warehouse management solutions within its SAP World.
The Klinkhammer multilevel shuttle system Klincat and in future all high bay and small parts warehouses will soon be available with the warehouse management system SAP EWM. The partnership between Klinkhammer, general contractor and system integrator in intralogistics for 45 years, and Swan, a SAP logistics and automation specialist, guarantees a smooth integration of the warehouse management into the SAP environment. Klinkhammer in cooperation with the development partner Swan accompanies the customers when introducing custom-fit SAP EWM logistics solutions from consulting and initial conception to implementation, training courses and support of the logistics processes and systems. During this process, Swan contributes its logistics expertise gained from more than 500-man-years of successfully realized projects in various branches of industry.
Thanks to this partnership, Klinkhammer complements its portfolio of services and set another milestone in the field of digitalization. This way, the company is able to offer customers ready-for-use warehouse management solutions within the SAP world while intermeshing at the same time the neighbouring business processes with the flow of materials. Both companies perfectly complement with their short decision-making paths and their focus on the mid-sized sector to implement tailor-made customer solutions.
Thanks to directly connecting the SAP EWM material flow computer (SAP MFS) to the controllers of the Klincat multi-level-shuttles programmed by Klinkhammer, an optimum implementation into the existing SAP environment of the customer is guaranteed. The SAP interfaces are optimized to the Klinkhammer systems and devices and are made available as modules. SAP EWM is an integral part of the SAP Supply Chain Execution Platform and supports all material flow processes in the warehouse from stock management to movement of goods.
The functionalities of SAP EWM reach from the different goods in processes to order processing, wave management, goods out processes, manual and automated order picking processes and special topics such as cross-docking, slotting or batch management. For mapping ergonomic graphical user interfaces, such as e.g. in order picking dialogues in automatic warehouses, tray subdivisions or similar, SWAN creates interactive SAPUI5 and SP FIORI applications. pb
