The DriveMCI range of frequency inverters can be quickly and easily adapted to customer specific applications. Based on several powers stages in single- and three-phase designs, different models from 0.37 to 4.0 kW are available. In addition to the 230 V version of the 0.37 kW drive, there is also a special design with 115 V available. Depending on the power class, the drives are fitted with either 16- or 32-bit microprocessors.
The compact DriveMCI has an intelligent power stage providing all the functions of a modern frequency inverter. Due to the integration of control functions in the power stage micro-processor, the DriveMCI can also be used in a basic configuration without interface card.
The interface units provide two analog inputs as well as several binary I/Os and serial communication via RS485 (CAN and other interfaces on request). Heat sink and mains filter are integrated as standard and can, if necessary, be customized to the individual conditions of the customer application.

Schaeffler Group Industrial has developed an integrated mechatronic bearing support system for CT scanners. It consists of a highly accurate and quiet hybrid thin-section bearing with direct drive as well as high-precision adjacent parts. The bearing is a further development from the Schaeffler Group’s Aerospace division and therefore has all the characteristics that take highest priority in CT scanners: 100 percent operational reliability with the highest level of running accuracy as well as low noise. With more than 300 rounds per minute, this Schaeffler development also meets the demands for ever increasing speeds. Moreover, CT manufacturers benefit from time and cost advantages. They can directly mount a pre-assembled and tested bearing and drive system without the need for additional mounting and testing efforts.
